 History of Java:- 

• Java is a general purpose object Oriented Programming language developed by Sum Microsystems of USA in 1991. Oniginally called OAK by James gosling ona of the înventor of the language.

• Java was design for the development of the software for Consumers electronic devices Like TVS ,VCR (video Cassette recorder)  toaster and such other eleetronic  machine . 

• The goal had a Strong impaut on the devetopment team to make the Language simple, portable and highly reliable.

• The Java team which include patrick naughton discovered that the excieting languange Like "C" and "C++" had Limitation in terms of both reliability and portability.

 • However they modeled their new language Java on 'C' & 'C++' but emoved a NUMBER of feature As Sources of that problem them made java really simple, reliable, portable and powerful language.

 • The most stifing feature of the language that it is platform neutral language.

•  Java is the 1st Programming language that is not tied to any particular hardware or operating Syetem.

• program developed in Java Can be executed any where on any system.

• We can call java as a new technology because it has brought in a fundamental shift in how the develope and use Program.
